I AM STRONG ENOUGH

THE FREEDOM HEART FOUNDATION

The Freedom Heart Foundation is a South Florida based, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors with the tools, resources, survivor skills, and self-reliance tactics to help them with a successful path forward free from abuse.

Our focus is to provide support and resources to survivors and families, help end the misunderstandings and stigma surrounding survivors, educate others about the effects of domestic violence, and encourage survivors and families to heal,

break their silence and become strong enough to thrive!

We utilize the tagline I AM STRONG ENOUGH as our main title to further promote a sense of strength to help empower domestic abuse survivors.

Since its inception, the Freedom Heart Foundation has assisted in aid for victims of domestic violence through supporting shelters for women and children whose lives have been shattered by abuse, poverty and homelessness as well as providing outreach to students to help combat relationship violence in high schools.

BREAK THE CYCLE

WHAT IS ABUSE?

Domestic violence can happen to anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender.

It can happen to couples who are married, living together or who are dating.

Domestic violence affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds

and education levels.

Abuse is a repetitive pattern of behaviors to maintain power and control over an intimate partner.

These are behaviors that physically harm, arouse fear, prevent a partner from doing what they wish

or force them to behave in ways they do not want.

Abuse includes the use of physical and sexual violence, threats and intimidation, emotional abuse and economic deprivation.

Many of these different forms of abuse can be going on at any one time.

OUTREACH TO SUPPORT DOMESTIC ABUSE SURVIVORS

All it took was the strength for one survivor, the Freedom Heart Foundation's founder to tell her story for a spark of bravery and passion to help others.

OUR IMPACT

To support, educate, empower, and improve the lives of the women and children affected by domestic violence  and help them transition into empowered survivors and thrivers.

WHAT WE DO.

OURTREACH. EVENTS. MENTAL & PHYSICAL HEALTH SESSIONS. EMPOWERMENT WORKSHOPS. SURVIVOR SUPPORT.

OUR WHY.

You did it. You survived. You’re trying to get your life back on track, but you feel alone. You feel misunderstood. Your abuser’s voice echoes in your mind. This is why we are here to help!

STRONG ENOUGH
TO SPEAK UP

STUDENT WORKSHOP

Freedom Heart Foundation's goal is to bring our empowerment workshop, STRONG ENOUGH TO SPEAK UP to as many high schools as possible as a way of stimulating large-scale, honest conversations about relationship violence.  The more students that know about what relationship violence is and how dangerous it can be, the more likely they are to step in when they have concerns, potentially saving lives.
